HIPS Plastic (High Impact Polystyrene)

We vacuum form, heat bend and CNC machine HIPS plastics – also called Styrene or Polystyrene.

Styrene sheet is characterized by its light weight, toughness and good dielectric (nonconducting) properties, and it is easy to process.

Typical Applications
Thin HIPS plastic is easily die or forme cut for signs and displays, or used in component parts. Outdoors, HIPS should be used only in short-term applications as it generally does not weather well unless it has a UV resistant, weather-resistant coating. HIPS plastics are well-suited for vacuum forming, and are used extensively in packaging.

HIPS is used for many applications including:

Signage
Point of Sale Displays
Exhibits
Light diffusers
Appliance panels
Trim strips
Packaging
Drinking cups

Ordering Options
Standard sheet sizes – 1372 x 660mm. Available thicknesses are ..25mm up to .4mm.

Standard colours – White, Black, Grey, Red, Green, Blue and Yellow
Matched colours are available in a minimum quantity of 500kg

Weather-resistant 'Styrosun' is available in a minimum quantity of 2 tonnes

ABS Ball Chute

ABS Plastics (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene)

ABS plastics are combination of acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene resins. They are hard and durable through a broad range of temperatures. ABS plastics are highly versatile plastics. ABS bonds well using either adhesive or solvent cement. ABS plastics can be painted, screen-printed and vacuum-plated.

ABS plastics extruded into sheets are used extensively for vacuum. Sheets are available extruded with surface texturing such as pinseal or leathergrain.

Typical ABS Plastics Applications
ABS Plastics are easily machined and in thinner gauges easily die or forme cut.

ABS plastics are used for such applications as:

Refrigerators liners
Equipment housings
Luggage cases
Food trays
Motor car components
Machine Covers
Storage bins

ABS Plastics Grades and Characteristics

We mould a variety of ABS Plastic grades with such characteristics as heat resistance, flame resistance, acrylic capped for bathroom and sanitary ware and weatherability for outdoor use.

ABS Plastic Sheet Sizes –Standard sizes are 1000 x 2000 or 1250 x 2500mm, with standard thickness ranging from 1mm  to 6mm.

ABS Plastic Sheet Colours – Many colours, types and surface textures are available.

ABS Plastic Sheet Additives – Static dissipative and UV-resistant coatings available

PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol)

PETG is a thermoplastic copolyester that provides excellent toughness, chemical resistance and is easy to thermoform. It is one of the most respected and trusted plastic sheets around. It offers extreme clarity and light transmission in combination with high gloss. PETG fabricates well using processes like die cutting, drilling, routing, bending and polishing. It bonds easily using solvents or adhesives. With its low forming temperature, PETG  vacuum forms very well and can be heat or cold bent. PETG can be silk screened printed.

PETG is a high-impact, co-polyester material, but not suitable in outdoor applications unless UV resistant stabilizers are added. PETG has a soft surface and it can be vulnerable to scratching in high contact environments.

PETG is  compliant, so it can be used in medical and food applications. In medical applications, it stands up to radiation and chemical sterilization techniques without changing colour.

Typical Applications

PETG is used in a variety of signage, packaging, industrial and medical applications:

Point-of-sale displays
Food Covers
Glazing
Machine Guards
Electronics
Medical packaging

Sheet sizes 1000mm x2 000mm and 1250mm x 2500mm.
Sizes – Thicknesses of from ..5mm to 12mm.

Colour – Clear and Opal

HDPE Cleaner Skirt

HDPE (High Density Polyethylene)

HDPE is substantially more rigid than LDPE, which reduces its impact resistance – although its overall impact resistance is still considered good when compared with many other plastics. It has excellent chemical, moisture- and stain-resistance, and is approved for such food applications as cutting boards.

In thin gauges, HDPE can be vacuum and is an excellent material for plastic welding. Welded tanks are used extensively for fluid containment. Due to HDPE’s good chemical resistance, it is frequently used for chemical containment in metal plating operations.

Typical Applications

HDPE plastic is used for applications such as:

Cleaning machine skirts
Fuel Tanks

Milk bottles

Laundry Detergent bottles

Trays
Modern Hula Hoops

Cutting boards

Water Tanks

In theory, almost any thermoplastic material is formable, we currently mould many including:

ABS
Styrene
Acrylic/PVC Alloy
Acrylic
PETG
Polyethylene
Polypropylene
PVC
Polycarbonate
Butyrate
